Can a business use Turnitin without a university account?
Turnitin is usually only sold to universities and schools. With a Plag Check plan you upload files through your own link and get the Turnitin report back by email, with no institutional login.
How do the plans work?
Starter is 20 reports for $79 and Agency is 50 reports for $169, billed upfront each month. Each file you upload uses one report. Reports are valid for a month and unused ones don't roll over. Enterprise is custom pricing for 100+ reports a month, invoiced monthly.
Does it detect AI-written content?
Yes. Every report includes Turnitin's AI writing detection, which flags text that reads as written by ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, DeepSeek and other models, including lightly edited AI text.
How fast are reports?
Each report arrives by email within 15 minutes of upload, as a PDF with the similarity score, every matched source and the AI writing result.
What files can we upload?
Word (.docx or .doc), PDF and text files up to 25 MB each. One file uses one report.
Are our files kept?
No. Files are never added to a plagiarism database, and once each report is emailed we delete the file from Turnitin and from our storage.
Is there an API?
Not yet. Reports come through your upload link. For high volumes, email business@domywork.co to talk about Enterprise.
